ITPDP- FULL TIME OPPORTUNITIES: The Information Technology Professional Development Program (ITPDP) is looking for recent college graduates who possess the ability to be our future leaders in IT. Candidates must be interested in pursuing a career in the IT field and demonstrate Abbott’s core competencies of Integrity, Adaptability, Initiative, Innovation and Teamwork. Abbott’s IT Professional Development Program is a two-year rotational development program designed to prepare college graduates to assume IT related positions at Abbott.

Here’s How the ITPDP Works: q You rotate through three challenging IT assignments (8 months each) over a two-year period to ensure you obtain all of the skills required for program graduation.q With each assignment, you report to an assignment manager who acts as an immediate supervisor, overseeing your responsibilities.q Upon graduation, you will interview for information technology positions that best fit your desired career path.
Participants are assigned a Program Team Lead and that will provide assistance in selecting assignments that are compatible with their individual interests, talents and abilities. In addition, the Program Manager as well as a formal mentor is responsible for providing guidance and coaching on the participant’s progress and performance.
INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES:
Abbott Laboratories recruits outstanding sophomores and juniors majoring in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related discipline into our internship program. The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful professional hands-on experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Abbott strongly considers those internship performers that continuously excel for their Information Technology Professional Development Program (ITPDP).
Abbott’s worldwide business offers its interns an opportunity to work in a variety of fields, including: Business Systems Analysis, Project Management, Validation (testing), Workstation installation and support, Help Desk support, Lotus Notes support, Web/Application development, BI tools, Data analysis, and Network infrastructure and support.
Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
