Smith Hanley Associates currently has an internship opportunity in our Downtown Loop Chicago office.  This internship will begin immediately and be part-time for the 2008 - 2009 academic year, with the possibility to continue into the 2009 – 2010 academic year. 

Intern duties:
o Providing support and troubleshooting for PCs, including Microsoft Office support, proprietary software support and network support
o Assisting with setup and configuration of computer hardware (printers, scanners, etc.)
o Assisting with installation of software
o Providing telecommunications support
o Communicating issues with off-site corporate IT staff
o Providing reception back-up, including candidate and client interaction
o Maintaining up-to-date logs on troubleshooting activity
o Assisting with updating of website and database information
o Assisting administrative staff with other miscellaneous office duties

Ideal interns will possess the following qualities:
o Strong interpersonal skills
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
o Self-motivated and energetic, with strong ability to take initiative
o Reliability
o Knowledge of PCs, computer software, and computer hardware
o Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
o Must be a junior or senior (class of 2009 or 2010)
