Crossroads: Pathways to Your Career Success

Friday, August 22nd - i.c.stars Hosts Event to Promote Technology Jobs in Chicagoland Area

Aug-152008

On August 22nd, i.c.stars is holding a unique event to highlight Chicago as an innovation city. Chicago is an economically diverse economy, which continues to grow because of its innovation and entrepreneurship. The focus of the event is to discuss what is (1) being done and (2) what we could be doing to ensure this spirit continues to ignite continued growth.  The collective ideas of the attendees on this subject will then be documented and made part of the Chamber of Commerce’s effort to attract new businesses and keep our students motivated to stay because of the endless opportunities offered in Chicago.

Students renew the cycle of innovation by bringing fresh perspectives and new ideas to existing processes. Everyone wants to know what you are thinking.

So what will be your role at the event? It will be one of being you, a student. Let me explain. A unique format will be used whereby tables will be set up and at each table there will be a Student, a CIO who will lead the discussion, i.c.stars alumni, an Entreprenuer, and supporters of i.c.stars (volunteers and sponsors). The CIO will be in charge of leading the "innovation" conversation. You will be a key part of the conversation.  Everyone wants to know what you are thinking.
