Edelman, located in downtown Chicago is seeking an IT Intern, who is a current student or recent graduate, to join our Technology Department.
The MIS Intern is part of the corporate MIS Team. This person will be tasked with laptop/desktop configuration via our corporate imaging methods. This person will also answer Helpdesk calls in a calm, professional and timely manner. Records Helpdesk calls in the Helpdesk database with clear, effective written communication, communicates with users so that they are informed on the progress of open issues. Solves problems efficiently, and proactively reports security and technical concerns to MIS management. The firm uses state of the art helpdesk and desktop management programs. This person will get trained on the job in performing other tasks as well in order to gain more experience.
Key Responsibilities:
*Answer Helpdesk calls in a calm, professional, timely manner
*Solves problems efficiently, timely and cost effectively
*Routes helpdesk calls to correct technician
*Installation of new equipment
*Excellent Office 2003/2007 skillset
Start date for this position is in Mid-August working between 25-35 hours/week.
