Student will work with Insignis' three-person technology/software team to address database, data processing, and web-interface issues.
Some administrative tasks will be required, but it is estimated that this will account for less than 20% of the responsibility.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a late sophomore or junior in information technology or computer science. The student will have good interpersonal skills (to facilitate interactions with the Insignis teams) and a solid, fundamental basis in information technology including software development methodologies and design principals in a relational environment.
In particular, the student will have a knowledge of database technology (Insignis develops in a Microsoft environment and we are currently using SQL Server 2005), and confidence using tools including SQL Server, Transact SQL, and C#. A working knowledge of Excel (including the data analysis features of Excel, which are widely used within the Insignis organization) and a basic understanding of financial instruments would be a definite plus.
