Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the online section of a course going to be taught separately?

A: No. The instructor that is teaching the in-class section of a COL-enabled course will also teach the online section. The in-class section is held on-campus and is recorded for online students to view.

Page Summary
Use COLWeb's E-MAIL TOOL to quickly send e-mails to your entire course section, single or multiple course members or your user group (if your instructor created an user group for you).

 Select Recipients
Choose between three types of recipients:
  • Course section(s): If you activate COURSE SECTION the e-mail will be sent to your entire course section.

  • User group(s): If you activate USER GROUPS you will see the user groups listed you are currently in. If you don't see any groups listed your instructor didn't set up user groups.

  • One or multiple course member(s): If you activate this option you will be able to select individual course members from a roster list. Hold the CTRL-key pressed to mark multiple names, then click on ">" to select them all at once.

By default the system automatically sends a COPY OF YOUR MAIL to your individual e-mail account (as noted at Campus Connection). You also have the choice of including your grader(s) to the mail.

 Enter Message Details
Every e-mail needs at least a subject in order to be sent successfully.

 Attach File
You can add one attachment to each e-mail. If you need to add more than one attachment, we recommend to zip all files together before attaching them. The maximum file size for attachments is 10 MB.
