Q: Is the online section of a course going to be taught separately?

A: No. The instructor that is teaching the in-class section of a COL-enabled course will also teach the online section. The in-class section is held on-campus and is recorded for online students to view.

How To Order Textbooks?

CDM Online Learning students can purchase textbooks and other course materials through DePaul’s Virtual Bookstore or over the phone. Both services are offered through an agreement with MBS Direct, an online bookseller. The DePaul Virtual Bookstore can be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

MBS Direct provides a number of benefits:

  • USED BOOKS: Whenever possible, MBS will offer used books at a savings of 25% off the new book price. The telephone operators and Virtual Bookstore will inform you of the availability of used books. You may always purchase new books if desired. 

  • DELIVERY OPTIONS: Textbooks are delivered via UPS Ground, Second-Day Air, or Next Day Air. You pay the current UPS rate based on weight and destination of the package. (Federal Express and Priority Mail are also available). Orders are shipped within 24 hours.

  • TEXTBOOK BUYBACK: When you buy from MBS Direct, you'll receive a Buyback Quote for each book that has a buyback value. A prepaid shipping label will be included for your convenience when returning books for resale. For details, visit the Virtual Bookstore.
