Overview
This page is a quick start guide for using the Course OnLine Player.

Logging In
Log in using your Campus Connection username and password. A list of courses for which you are currently enrolled will appear.

Viewing Lectures
Click on the course that you would like to view from the course selector in the upper left corner. The course overview page will follow.

Next, click the VIEW LECTURES link on the left side menu.  This will take you to a list of your course’s recorded lectures.

Click on the lecture you would like to view to being playback.

Note: For more information regarding playback and bandwidth, please refer to the View Lectures page.

Once you have clicked on the link corresponding to your desired playback and bandwidth, the lecture begins automatically in the top left of the screen and the view opens automatically to the “ScreenShot” view. The “ScreenShot” view is a view of the screen that appears at the right front of the classroom.

Viewing the Whiteboard
You can switch from the “ScreenShot” view to the “Whiteboard 1” view by clicking on its corresponding button on the bottom left of the page. The “Whiteboard 1” view allows you to see what your instructor has written on the left side of the board in the classroom. Clicking on the “Whiteboard 2” button allows you to see what has been written on the right side of the board in the classroom.

You can change the size of the pen width that appears by clicking the “Thin” or “Thick” buttons that appear on the bottom of the screen. You can also zoom in or out on the material written on the board by clicking the + or – buttons that appear at the top left of the “Whiteboard” view. Pressing the “+” button automatically zooms incrementally to the center of the screen. You can move the view of the screen by clicking and dragging it to the desired location. To restore the original “Whiteboard” view, click the “1:1” button.

Viewing Specific Positions in the Lecture
You can select a specific time from the lecture that you would like to view using the “Position” menu. Use the pop-up menus to select the hour, minute, and second in the lecture you would like to view. Then click “Go.” The lecture will automatically begin playing from the point you have selected.

Using Bookmarks
To bookmark a point in the lecture, click the “New” button from the “Bookmark” menu at the point at which you would like to create a bookmark. A “My Bookmark” dialog box will appear. You can title and give a brief description of the material that you have bookmarked. Note: If you would like your bookmark to be available for other students to view, click the “Share with others” box. Then click “Submit.” The bookmark you have created should appear at the bottom of the dialog box. You can preview, modify, or delete the bookmark by clicking the corresponding buttons at the bottom of the dialog box.

You can view the bookmarks that you have created by clicking the “My Bookmarks” drop-down menu and selecting the desired bookmark.

To delete bookmarks you have created, click the “Edit” button. This brings up the “My Bookmarks” dialog box from which you can preview, modify, or delete bookmarks. You can also manually create a bookmark from the “My Bookmarks” dialog box by selecting the desired time from the lecture in hours, minutes, and seconds.
