Video Show
The Microsoft Media Player is used to see the video signal captured by the video camera. Right click on the video image to view full screen.

Screenshot
The Screenshot function allows operations performed on the instructor’s PC to be captured and replayed. Click on “Screenshot” to bring the instructor’s PC Screen to the main browser window.

Course OnLine Screenshot
Occasionally users have difficulty viewing the PC screen. If the screen shot you are viewing is broken, you may need to download a patch for your browser. Go to here, and download the appropriate patch. Most users will need to download the patch “3725.exe”. If the PC screen capture is not working at all, download the screenBrowser ActiveX component. You can do this through the Who Can Use COL section of the website. If the component cannot be installed, you might need to change the browser’s security options to its default setting.

If you are running IE version 5, select “Tools”, “Internet Options”, “Security”, and click “Default Level”.
If you are running IE version 4, select “View”, “Internet Options”, “Security”, and click “Default”.

Try the download again. If you continue to have problems, or if you encounter other difficulties, see the Frequently Asked Questions, or contact the COL group for assistance.

Document Camera
The ability to view documents captured by the Document Camera has been integrated into the Screen Shot functionality. When the instructor places a document under the document camera, click “View PC Screen” to view the document in the main browser window.

Whiteboard
Writing on the whiteboard is captured using a special pressure sensitive pen and a Mimio bar attached to the board. When the pen is used correctly, marks made in the 4’ by 8’ area in front of the Mimio bar will be captured and saved in the system.

Click on “Whiteboard 1” or “Whiteboard 2” to bring the whiteboard to the main browser window. If you have trouble reading the whiteboard, it may be because the equipment is not being used correctly. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions. The whiteboard will automatically refresh after an interval of time.
