Page Summary
The VIEW ANNOUNCEMENTS page will display all the announcements your instructor posts throughout the quarter. The ANNOUNCEMENTS OVERVIEW box on top displays the number of announcements that have been posted since you last logged in and the total number of announcements for this course so far.

Viewing Types
You may change the way announcements are viewed by selecting FLAT LIST or GROUPED BY TOPIC. Flat List simply displays all announcements in chronological order. If Grouped by Topic is selected, you will see announcements grouped together that have the same topic. Each topic will be grouped in an expandable and collapsible list. Topic groups with a single item will appear expanded by default. Items with no topic assigned will also be grouped together.

Detailed description of announcement list columns:

• Announcement: This is where the title of the announcement is displayed along with a short description if your instructor chose to input one. Sometimes you will view the following STAR ICON  prior to the announcement title. The star symbol indicates that the related announcement has been posted since your last login.
   
  
• File: If the announcement has a file attached you will view an icon displayed here. Click the FILE ICON to view or download the attachment.Note: Not every announcement will have a file attached to it.
  
  
• Topic: This column only appears in the FLAT LIST view and displays the topic of the useful link if your instructor chose to input one.
  
  
• Last Updated: This column displays the date and time the specific announcement was last updated by your instructor.

Note: Only course instructors may post announcements, not students. If there are no announcements listed, it is likely that your instructor has not yet posted any announcements.
