Summary:
GEHC has designated markets and segments for our products and there is a critical need to understand the characteristics of these users. GEHC Technical Intern will research, across the GEHC business, to gather information on the users of our products. This will include information such as demographics, task analysis, workflow and load understanding, aspirations, concerns, patterns of use, …etc. The end deliverable is to create a centralized knowledge hub made up of unique information on the different users of our products, grouped by the GEHC businesses. An electronic repository will be developed to hold this information. This information may include:
  • User Profiles
  • Environment Profiles
  • Workflow Archetypes
  • Layout & Widget Design Patterns
  • Technology Evaluations
  • Standards & Regulations
  • GUI Libraries & Toolkits & Sample Code
  • Trend Reports
  • Ideation Toolkits
Assignment Description:
Research the users that work on our products. We have designated markets for our products and we need to understand the ethnography of these users. This individual would collect and consolidate existing user profiles and personas from worldwide development teams and develop a method to parse this data into a consistent, usable format in order to identify existing gaps and opportunities for further understanding. Additional work may be done to expand on this core understanding by identifying and consolidating user workflows in a similar manner. Assignment lengths are minimum 15 weeks.

Final Deliverables/Desired State:
Aggregated, synthesized and harmonized of market & design-related research information, grouped by the GEHC businesses.
Standards templates and guidelines to structure information for consistency.

Requirements:
  • 3.2 cumulative overall GPA or better;
  • High self-confidence; interpersonal skills; initiative; leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, illustrator..etc.)
  • Knowledge of Database Design.

  • Improved understanding of the commonalities and differences relating to our end users populations, across our product portfolio.
