New: Suburan Campus Writing Groups
Do you need help with your writing but can't get to the Lincoln Park or the Loop Writing Centers? The University Center for the Writing-based Learning is pleased to announce the expansion of its services to the Suburban campuses. Beginning Winter Quarter 2009, the Writing Center will be offering all current students the opportunity to be part of Suburban Campus Writing Groups (SCWG's). These small groups will meet on Saturdays from 10 - 11:30am, and students can apply to be part of an eight-week group (Jan. 17-Mar. 7), or aprt of a four-week group (Jan. 17- Feb. 7, or Feb. 14-Mar. 7). Each meeting will consist of a half-hour of writing instruction and an hour of writing workshop. Students are encouraged to contact Lorelai Blackburn, The Suburban Writing Centers Coordinator at lblackbu@depaul.edu for more information. The first meeting is Saturday, January 17, and space is limited, so act fast!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at wcenter@depaul.edu, or ask us a "Quick Question" on our website (http://www.depaul.edu/writing).

We look forward to working with you!
