Career Center seeks candidate for short-term project

The University Career Center is seeking candidates for a short-term research project. The main purpose of the project is help target companies who might be interested in hiring CIM students for internships.  This is a one-time project and ideally to be completed by the end of the year.

 

Here are the objectives:

Objectives for School of Cinema and Interactive Media (CIM) Project

 

o       Use various resources to identify companies nationwide including

Creativedir.com, Creative Directory Services for the Midwest.

 

o       Research companies in the film and video industry, as well as

animation, gaming and advertising to identify top 50 companies that have hired or are interested in hiring interns with majors in Animation, Computer Games Development , Computer Graphics and Motion Technology, Digital Cinema, Interactive Media.

 

o       Identify trends and recruiting needs of these companies in terms

of skills, knowledge and abilities, types of openings, projected growth, etc.

 

o       Create a database of companies which include relevant

information such as size of company (# of employees), services/products, location, HR/Management contact names and details, etc.

 

o       Establish employer contacts and promote the Career Center's

University Internship Program.

 

o       Understand the skills and knowledge that students will gain in

completing the degree program and promote the School of Cinema and Interactive Media (CIM) degree programs to potential employers.
